Why I don't watch Hollywood movies
I don't understand how anyone can be entertained by the contrived, recycled, and predictable hollywood stories? These lame stories just play on people's ignorance of life and the world around them. The movies promote negative stereotypes of foreign cultures. I no longer derive any excitement from watching them. It is very difficult to be fooled by the fake reality presented in these movies.
Instead of "intriguing plots" , I just see underpaid writers attempting to capitalize on the ignorance of their audience. Hollywood movies lose all their appeal after you reach a certain age and acquire a good understanding of how the world really works. It just makes me wonder about those who are mature and actually enjoy these movies. It tells me such people have no understanding of reality and live by the inaccuracies of popular culture.
